Because most of us breeders are legally limited to how many dogs we can have in our home, we sometimes partner up with friends and family who lives within a 300 miles radius of Southern Utah. This ensures that the guardian pup will be doted upon by its guardian family, go on bi-daily walks, one-on-one training & lots of individual daily snuggles. The guardian puppy/dogs are VERY well cared for and lacks for nothing!
Once the dog is 2 years of age, the dog gets health tested & genetic tested so that we know if we have a dog which meets our high standard, at the breeder's expense.
If it passes, it comes back to me for breeding and whelping/nursing responsibilities, (at the breeder's expense) and when it is done, usually around 5 years of age, (IF every breeding goes as planned, but God always gets the last say-so) the dog will get spayed and ownership turned over to the guardian family, and now continue to live happily ever after.
If the dog doesn't pass all of it's health testing, it will get spayed & stay with its guardian family...if they so desire.
A signed contract is required.
We adhere to the highest standards when it comes to breeding dogs. We only breed dogs that are healthy, happy, and have the best possible temperament. We ONLY breed dogs with 100% passing health tests, and who has the famous bidding temperament which Golden Retrievers are so famous for. We follow breeding practices which are ethical and responsible.
